Guarantee/Warranty

We are so sure of the quality of our kits and instruments that we guarantee your satisfaction. If within 7 days of receipt of your item if you are not satisfied with your purchase you can send it back for a full refund. Just contact us within 7 days of delivery and request an RMA #. Send the item back in the same condition it was received and with all the packaging and included hardware. When your package arrives your entire purchase price, including shipping and return shipping, will be refunded to you immediately by way of PayPal or Money Order (subject to any delays by preferred method of payment).

Since all the instruments at Brown’s Custom Shop have either been customized (altered), used or obtained through close outs none of these instruments carry the original manufacturer’s warranty so we will substitute our own.

We warranty all our instruments for 3 years to be free from manufacturing defects both by the factory and our own customization. If any electrical parts cease to function or function improperly contact our service department for a work order#, send the instrument back to us (customer pays shipping to our facility, we pay the return shipping) and we will repair or replace the defective parts. If the defect is structural (neck or body) and shows no signs of damage or abuse than either the defective parts will be replaced or the instrument will be replaced with one of equal value subject to the approval of the customer. If the instrument shows signs of physical damage in close proximity to the defect than the warranty is void. If there are signs of abuse or improper care to the instrument that may have contributed to the defect than the warranty will be void. If the instrument has been altered from the state in which it was received from our facility than the warranty will be void. Each instrument is photographed and documented before it leaves our facility and this information is stored for 3 years from the date of sale. Additional customization can be done by request from our customers at our facility and this will not void the warranty. The additional customization will fall under a 3 year warranty from the installation date. At this point the customer can request an extended warranty on the instrument. The instrument will be evaluated and then an extended warranty will be offered at the applicable rate at that time.

Our kits are covered with a 30 day warranty as long as the kit has been installed by a certified guitar technician. Once the kit has been received and verification of the installation and certification of the technician is complete we will replace the kit or refund the purchase and shipping price as stated above.
