CTS Pots
CTS Pots – We use CTS 500K & 250K short/split shaft potentiometers made specifically for MOJO Tone, and to their specs, for all of our short shaft kits. These pots are built to last, guaranteed to be within 10% tolerance and sound fantastic with a beautiful taper that really lets you dial in the tones you’re looking for. The shaft measures 3/8” in diameter and so most guitars made overseas will need to have their pot holes enlarged to accommodate them. Don’t worry, this sounds harder than it is and step by step directions for this are included in the installation instructions which can be downloaded or printed from our site (click here for the instructions page).
Most CTS pots purchased on the internet have a + 20% tolerance so you can get a pot that can read anywhere form 400K to 600K. Our pots are all tested when we receive them to make sure that they fall within our standard + 10% tolerance and have a good taper, any that do not meet our specs are sent back to the manufacturer and never even make it to the tech bench.

CTS Long Shaft Pots – These are the same as the 500K short shaft pots but ith a Long Shaft for use with thick arch top guitars like the Gibson Les Pauls. These pots are built to last and sound fantastic with a beautiful taper that really lets you dial in the tones you’re looking for. The shaft measures 3/8″ in diameter and so most guitars made overseas will need to have their pot holes enlarged to accommodate them. Don’t worry, this sounds harder than it is and step by step directions for this are included in the installation instructions.
