Our cloth covered wire comes in four colors; black, red, white and blue. The black wire is 18 gauge stranded wire that is wax coated and cloth covered. The other colors are 22 gauge solid core cloth covered wire. The strands in the black wire are thick and not hair thin like standard pvc covered wire used in most guitars.
We have bundled 12 feet of vintage style, cloth covered wire in 4 different colors for your guitar project. Each color (black, red, blue and white) come in 3 foot sections which easily gives you enough to wire a guitar switch (color coded even), the jack and all the pots in your guitar. The black wire is 18 gauge, wax coated, stranded wire and the other colors are 22 gauge, solid core wire.
This high quality, cloth covered wire is very easy to work with and looks very nice as well. Just cut the wire to length and push back the cloth covering, solder the wire and then push the cloth covering up to the soldered joint. Very nice and very clean.
