The Standard Series

Our Standard wiring kits will give your guitar all it needs to operate at its maximum capacity and with the capacitors we use, that iconic tone that you have been looking for is just an order away. We have installed variations of our kits in Gibsons, Epiphones, Agiles, LTD’s, Ibanez’s, Fenders, Squires, Import copies…. the list goes on, and the difference is phenomenal. Whether you are installing boutique pickups or using the stock pickups that came with your guitar, rest assured that you will be flat out amazed at the difference.

LP Basic Angle Small     Our Standard series kits are all wired to standard modern wiring schematics but that is not where it ends. Each kit is built at the time your order is placed and so we can accommodate most special requests. If you want to add a push/pull pot, different caps or change the layout, just check out our custom kits page and then contact us with your requests.

We use 500K Bourns Pro Audio pots, they have a silky smooth feel and a superior taper to other pots we tested. The short shaft pots have a standard torque while the long shaft pots for the Gibson Les Paul kits have a low torque and they turn very easily. In the short shaft kits the volume pots use a linear taper for a smooth volume control and the tone pots use an audio taper. The Gibson Les Paul kits use only audio taper pots since the linear taper model is unavailable at this time.

For capacitors we use MOJO Dijon capacitors which are a faithful reproduction of the Mallory 150 caps. These caps give your guitar more volume, presence and organic tone than standard caps, including the orange drop tone caps. We use Switchcraft and Oak Grigsby switches for reliable switching and Switchcraft jacks for a rock solid connection. All the wiring is 22 gauge, cloth covered, stranded wire for ground connections and all the conductor connections use 22 gauge solid core cloth covered wire. These components come together to bring your guitar to life and infuse it with maximum tone. Click Here for details on our components.

Turn Around Time

Due to the expansion of our customer base, our turnaround times are 3 to 5 weeks from the time you order. We have recently picked up two guitar manufacturers that we are building wiring harnesses for, and the word of mouth about the quality of our work and customer service has expanded our customer base tremendously. Each kit is built to order, and in the order it was received. It will take some time for you to receive your kit, but it will be well worth the wait, guaranteed! - Bill Brown/owner BCS Guitars.
